Ocean Consulting Services LLC began business in 2012. Brad Simmons is the founder and managing member of OCS where he provides tax, accounting, and payroll services to an array of business and individual clients. OCS specializes in IRS Representation – from tax audits to collection issues.

Brad Simmons

Certified Public Accountant

Brad is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. He is also a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor and has completed the IRS Representation Certificate Program at the University of Connecticut.

Brad attended Boston University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree (with a major in accounting). He also completed the Masters in Tax program at Bentley University.

Brad has over 35 years of professional experience. He began his career in public accounting in the audit practice and then transitioned to the tax practice. His most recent public accounting experience included providing tax services to businesses in the real estate and service industries as a tax partner at Deloitte Tax in Boston.

During his public accounting career, he taught at Deloitte’s national tax school, held positions of responsibility in practice management (human resources, financial management, etc.), and also served as an adjunct professor at Suffolk University where he taught a masters level course in taxation.

In 2012 Brad left “the big city” and pursued his passion for providing professional services to individuals and small/mid-size businesses. His recent experience includes providing accounting, payroll, and tax services to a number of individuals and businesses. He has also represented several clients with the IRS – obtaining six-figure tax reductions in settlement negotiations.

Brad lives in Plymouth, MA with his wife and two step-children. In addition to this household, he has two children and three other step-children. He enjoys spending time with family, traveling, skiing, and scuba diving.
